Correct image orientation

  1. Choose an image file from your device.
  2. Select 90, 180 or 270 degrees clockwise.
  3. Process the rotation and inspect the full preview.
  4. Check that the subject and any embedded text are upright.
  5. Download the rotated output as a separate file.

Choose a rotation angle

A 90-degree turn changes portrait to landscape or landscape to portrait. A 180-degree turn turns the image upside down; 270 degrees clockwise is equivalent to 90 degrees counterclockwise.

Orientation metadata and output

Some photos carry orientation metadata from a camera or phone. Review the generated pixels in the target app because image viewers can interpret metadata differently.
